I grew up on the Maine coastline, where the forest meets the sea, so I wanted to make a piece that reflected that beautiful color palette of green and blue. I loved playing in the woods as a child looking for delicately textured mosses and lichens, so when I found this lovely silk-linen duochrome fabric, I knew I wanted to center a piece around its texture. I based the design of the River Pants on Chinese tai chi pants which are loose and easy to move in, with fabric that flows like a river.

This piece is unlined, but has hidden seams.
