I grew up on the Maine coastline, and am very inspired by the textures found where the forest meets the sea. When I found this lovely woven green and blue fabric that reminded me of seaweed rustling just under the waves, I knew I wanted to center a piece around its texture. I based the design of the River Pants on Chinese tai chi pants which are loose and easy to move in, with fabric that flows like a river.

This piece is unlined, but has hidden seams.
