Porcelain & Kintsugi Zodiac Cropped Hanfu Jacket
Size S
$400 USD
My parents are potters, so I wanted to include pieces inspired by Chinese porcelain and Japanese kintsugi in my first collection. Although a piece of pottery might break, the shards can be repurposed to create something even more beautiful. I started by cyanotype dyeing a variety of Chinese papercuts, and built outwards from there. I based the design of this jacket on traditional Chinese hanfu robes, which are often worn layered, so I designed this jacket to be easy to layer and combine with other pieces.
This piece is fully lined, hand-dyed, and hand-detailed with gutta.
